Privacy Policy
Effective July 15, 2026 · Operated by PRPL 7 Inc. · Airdrie, Alberta, Canada
1. Who we are
Delta After School is an online learning service operated by PRPL 7 Inc. (“we”, “us”), based in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information we handle and why.
2. Whose information we handle
Family accounts are created by a parent, guardian, or teacher, who sets up and controls one or more learner profiles. Grown-ups are always in charge of a learner's profile and data.
3. What we collect
Account details: your name, email, and a securely hashed password — or, if you use Google sign-in, the basic profile Google shares.
Learner profiles: a display name or nickname, avatar, grade level, chosen interests, an optional gender used only to pick pronouns in lessons, a sign-in handle you choose (formatted like an email — it does not need to be a real inbox), and an optional PIN, which we store only as a secure hash.
Learning activity: answers, attempts, progress, mastery and spaced-repetition state, and related events — used to plan lessons and power the parent dashboard.
Payment details: when paid plans are billed, a third-party payment processor handles the transaction. We receive confirmation and limited details (plan, status), and never store full card numbers.
Technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
4. How we use it
To deliver and personalize lessons, schedule reviews at the right moment, generate hints and grading, show parents accurate progress, process payments, keep the service secure, and communicate with account holders. We do not show ads, and we do not sell personal information.
5. AI processing
Some lessons, hints, and answer feedback are generated with the help of third-party AI service providers. When that happens we send only what's needed — for example the topic, the learner's answer, and limited profile signals such as first name and chosen interests — under agreements that restrict how providers may use it.
6. Children's privacy
Delta After School is intended for school-age learners and is set up by a parent, guardian, or teacher who provides consent and controls each learner profile. We handle children's information in line with applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA) and comparable rules such as COPPA where they apply. Grown-ups can review, correct, or delete a learner's information at any time from the family dashboard.
7. How we share
Only with service providers that act on our instructions under contract (hosting, AI processing, payments), when required by law, or as part of a business transfer. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
8. Where data is processed
Our providers may process data in Canada and other countries. Where information crosses borders we take steps so it stays protected to the standard described here.
9. Security
Passwords and PINs are stored only as secure hashes, data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what's needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Keeping and deleting data
We keep information while an account is active. Parents can remove a learner — and their learning history — from the family dashboard at any time, and can ask us to delete the whole family account.
11. Your rights
Subject to law, you may access, correct, or delete personal information and ask how it is handled. Contact us at hello@deltaafterschool.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll post updates here, and for material changes we'll give families notice in advance.
